TOP UP FOR REGISTERED MENTAL NURSE (RMN) DIPLOMA
The Nurses’ Training College, Pantang is affiliated to the University of Cape Coast. As a government policy and directive in 2002, Nurses Training College, Pantang was mandated to offer the opportunity to all its graduates to undertake a top up programme for all graduates who qualified from 2002 to 2015 in order to be issued with an internationally accepted Diploma in Mental Nursing by a recognized University.
Nurses’ Training College, Pantang is now affiliated to the University of Cape Coast since 2015 and have since graduated two of its batches (2016 and 2017 year groups; Diploma 16 and 17).
In line with the government policy, the College is organizing a top up programme for its graduates from 2002 to 2015. This top up will be supervised by the University of Cape Coast affiliation office.
The top-up curriculum will cover two sessions, based on sandwich Course Unit System
(First Session: November 19 – January 6, 2018/2019; second Session: May 6 – July 12, 2019). The top up is competency-based, and takes into consideration the current needs of the society and those of the professional nurse.
